If you ever get back into Canada and want to see the beauty of Vancouver Island, you will also enjoy visiting The Free Store in Port Alberni, BC, Canada. Everything is free! It is totally cool.

  3. Hop on over to Virginia, if ya can! Plenty to see. At my alma mater, James Madison U. in Harrisonburg, VA, there’s an incinerator that gives tours. It’s a contoversial subject. One side: reducing accumulation in landfills and pollution from the smoke-stacks. Other side: why don’t we all just reduce our collective garbage created instead of trying to come up with ways to get rid of it?

  4. When the weather gets warmer, check out the outdoor locations and events that reduce plastic water bottle waste by providing fresh filtered water to refill a current reusable water bottle. Sail Newport in Rhode Island, Ski to Sea in Bellingham, WA, Christopher Newport University in VA.
