Are fireworks safe?

Happy 4th of July, everyone! We will spend the day making blackberry ice cream with some blackberries we picked from our newest secret patch (Phil is a genius at finding untouched patches scattered around town).

This holiday reminds me of a post we wrote last summer comparing dioxin emissions from incinerators and fireworks. Dioxins are a carcinogenic class of toxins emitted from incinerators. Are fireworks more toxic than incinerators? Maybe, but I’m still going to watch the show tonight… everything in perspective.

  1. Are these Himalayan blackberries or the wild mountain variety? As a true connoisseur, there is a difference.

We’re in E-burg with the Meadors. Hope the wind wasn’t’t too bad
